Whether you are new to golf, an intermediate player, or an accomplished golfer, EWGA is the group for you! In addition to a variety of golf events and teaching clinics, the Greater Richmond Chapter provides a welcoming environment to meet and network with area women enthusiastic about golf.
We Did It!!!!!! Our membership goal for this year was 89. We are happy to say we have achieved our goal! Congratulations and thanks to each of you who renewed your membership and brought new members into our chapter. Way to go ladies!!!!

EWGA Fairway Friends Program
So you have joined the sisterhood of the EWGA, but you're not playing!!! WHY???
I hear on a daily basis all the reasons why new golfers are afraid to get on the course: " I'm too bad", "I don't know what to do", "I don't know anyone to play with". "I don't know who to ask, or for that matter, where to go."
If these are some of your concerns, then The EWGA Fairway Friends Program is made for you.
The program teams experienced golfers with newer golfers to help them feel comfortable on the golf course. Mentoring is what EWGA is all about - helping women enter the game of golf in a fun, supportive and welcoming environment!
Who is a Mentor? A mentor is an experienced, but not necessarily good golfer who guides a new golfer on pace of play, basic rules and proper etiquette on and off the golf course. Also, a mentor may guide the new member on how to participate in other EWGA events.
Who is a Mentee? A mentee is someone making the transition from instruction to playing on a golf course. A mentee is paired with a mentor to guide them around the golf course safely and answer questions about etiquette, basic rules and the other nuances of the game in order to build confidence and comfort in the golf course setting.
To sign up for the EWGA Fairway Friends Program, please contact me at Janetwindyhill@aol.com and I will get you started in the right direction. I need both mentors and mentees. I will hold 2 training sessions to go over the information you will need to know as a mentor and then I will pair players together. Don't worry, you do not have to fix any swings. That's my job.
The EWGA Fairway Friends Program is a win-win for both mentors and mentees.
