MONDAY NIGHT LEAGUE PLAY AT The Crossings Golf Club
Dates: April 7-October 27, 2008
Excludes Memorial and Labor day Monday
Tee times: Begin at 5:15pm

Procedures:
We will again play with the woman’s group from the Crossings. Since this is an informal league, plan on partnering up to make a foursome on a first come basis.

Other Information-If you are interested in being emailed when the course has tournaments which may back up the start time or to be told that the course is having work done on it making play difficult, please email Pam Pitchford

This year the club pro is making plans to allow the players to take turns playing both the front and back nine.

Due to the request that the league remain informal, there will not be a greeter.

EVENTS:

Match play : 5/12/08, 6/16/08, 7/21/08, 8/18/08

Once a month, we will have match play for anyone interested and we will be combining with the Crossings woman’s group. To sign up, you must email Pam Pitchford at the above address by Friday before the event and also call and confirm with the course. Two person pairings will be based on your handicap. Those that are not interested in match play can still come out to play, however, the tee times will be scheduled based on how many match players sign up and they will go off first.

Ringer Board: 4/7-10/20/2008 Cost $5.00

To those that are interested, a ringer board will be kept allowing you to post your best score weekly on each hole. The player with the lowest score for the year will win a prize.

Birdie/Par tree 4/7-10/20/2008 Cost $5.00

You can also post how many pars and birdies you made per week. The highest number for the year will win a prize.

End of the year social: 10/27/08 Prizes for above will be awarded

BEGINNERS:

All golfers are welcome to play at Windy Hill but this league is targeting beginner golfers and clinics and events are designed with this in mind.

Start date: April 17, 2008, and every Thursday through September 18, 2008
Time: 6pm lighted course
Course: Par 3 course
Cost-Par 3 course $6.00 green fee for walkers , cart additional $8.00
Lake course $10.00 green fee for walkers, cart additional $8.00
Signing up-All players must call the course by 12pm Thursday to play that evening

Fun nights:

Besides the weekly league, Windy Hill will also offer fun nights on the dates listed below associated with a clinic.
The clinics will start at 5:30pm and golf begins at 6pm. First place prizes will be awarded and the clinics are free but you must register and a minimum of four people will have to sign up for the clinic to occur. You must register a week in advance of the clinic.

Ease into tournament play:

This will be a 9 hole event designed to teach/ prepare a new player to feel confident playing in 18 hole tournaments in the future. The event will be non competitive and played on the par 3 course. The cost is the same as above and a half hour clinic taught by Nina will be available if at least four players sign up. Players must register a week before the event if interested in the clinic. If only golfing, players must register by the Saturday before the event. The cost for this clinic will be paid by EWGA and is $30.00 for a half hour group lesson.
